
Alan John is a journalist, writer, and trainer. He runs the Asia Journalism Fellowship, a program that brings journalists from across Asia to Singapore, and is an editorial consultant with the South China Morning Post, Hong Kong. He spent 35 years at The Straits Times and was deputy editor when he left in 2015. He has written several books: Unholy Trinity, an account of a bizarre murder case from the 1980s; Good Grief!, a collection of personal columns. In addition, he has also published two children books, The One And Only Inuk and Ubin Elephant. A third is on the way.
