For the past 25 years, ANAK-Tnk has been working with the poorest and most vulnerable people in Metro Manila, Philippines: children, abandoned people in the streets and families in the slums. The street children of Manila have lost contact with their families and are victims of violence and drugs. They survive by begging, stealing or scavenging garbage for food, and etc.

ANAK-Tnk cares for these children in family-like homes that promote their social rehabilitation and protection. The children then find their way back to a more stable life, go back to school and visit their families whenever possible. As well as providing basic needs, the children take time to rebuild their lives and prepare for their future in a protective and loving environment. The former street children are given opportunities to attend school and up till college, until they are independent to fend for themselves.

Anak-Tnk has launched a Project Liwanag, a project to build a school of tourism for the most underprivileged young people include those with disabilities and offering them quality professional training and possibilities of stable employment when they are independent. At this infancy stage of the project, we are appealing to well-wishers to help raising funds to build infrastructure and facilities for the school of tourism in 2023/24.
