Eco-Tourism (EcoFarm)

Caring for Our Common Home - Planet Earth
arrowVIEW MORE

The EcoFarm is a sustainable project which started its humble beginnings through friends and community members sharing the same passion for ecology and charity. This Laudato si’-inspired eco-friendly project of the Focolare Movement and Pag-asa Social Center Foundation is located in Mariapolis Peace, Tagaytay City. Established on March 2020, the Focolare Eco-Farm set up 4 locations at Tagaytay by agricultural enthusiasts with a passion & farming experience to cultivate, grow & harvest the organic produce of the farm for distribution to the beneficiaries of our Pag-asa Social Center Foundation with over 300 children & 200 families benefiting from this project endeavour.

Social Exposure

Caring for the Poor

The Pag-asa Social Center based in Brgy. Iruhin Central, Tagaytay City, Philippines, is one of the social expressions of the Focolare Movement. It extends educational, medical, nutritional and livelihood assistance to 306 children from 181 indigent families (at present) from different barangays in Tagaytay. It also offers human and spiritual formation, for meaningful and effective development, to become self sufficient, responsible and productive members of their family and the community.

Thanks to the “Support-at-a-distance ” program, these children and families of Pag-asa could now hope for a better future.

Our Vision: The Pag-asa Social Center Foundation Inc. envisions its members to be of one family, animated by continuous and mutual love, full of hope in God and a better life, where needs are met through the free sharing of goods.

Our Mission: - To share to each one, especially to the supported children, the immense and personal love of God - To serve families concretely through programs in education, health, better housing and livelihood - To help people reacquire their dignity through a human and spiritual foundation, helping them become self-sufficient, responsible and productive members of the family and community

Mariapolis Peace

Listening to the Holy Spirit in the service of Humanity
arrowVIEW MORE

This little town, through the life style they promote, can offer new ideas for life in bigger towns and cities. They are models of a new kind of society, whose law is mutual love, the law of the Gospel, with the full communion of cultural spiritual and material goods that this entails. Through the life that circulates, their outreach in the world has remained constant. Each year they have thousands of visitors.

Ever since 1982 visitors have had the same sensation among the streets and buildings of Mariapolis Peace in Tagaytay, which was the first permanent Mariapolis in Asia. "I have a dream", exclaimed Chiara Lubich, foundress of the Focolare Movement, that year, as she observed the hills of Tagaytay: that precisely there, a Focolare town would rise where the Gospel would be lived out in a steady way in order to give a picture of what the world would be like if we all lived the Gospel.

The experiences of dialogue and sharing grow and multiply like the water in a lake that is replicated in other mirrors of water. But the reflections of Mariapolis Peace cannot be counted.

ANAK-TnK

A bridge for the children

ANAK-Tnk: What does it mean? ANAK means child in Tagalog (Philippine language) TnK are the initials of the foundation as it is known in Manila: Tulay Ng Kabataan. This literally means: A bridge for the children! It is the symbol of our work with street and slum children for more than 25 years: to bridge the gap between children and their families (reconciliation) whenever possible, towards a better life.

Since 1998, ANAK-Tnk has been providing these children from the streets and slums of Manila access to education, health, nutrition and protection.

Our Goal: To provide for the basic needs of all children, without exception.

Our Mission: To give back the dignity and the smile to the most vulnerable children of Manila.
